Vertical sauna stove Sudarushka: reliability of cast iron, elegance of steel

Podolskaya company "Inzhkomcenter VVD" began developing wood-burning stoves almost 20 years agoThe pilot project, which was named "Sudarushka", later became the ancestor of the series.

It exists now eight models, which have design and stylistic differences. This determines the wide price range: from 34 to 105 thousand rubles behind the stove.

Bath stove with cast iron firebox: main characteristics

"Sudarushka" was created as a sauna stove. This required compliance with several strict conditions.

Photo 1. The operating principle and internal structure of the Sudarushka sauna stove, indicating the main distinguishing features of the design.

Firstly, the design must be compact enough to take up a minimum of space in the room. Secondly, it was necessary to take into account fire safety regulations, since baths are often built of wood.

To solve the first problem, specialists developed special vertical design stoves. And to ensure safe operation, the firebox was made made of 12mm cast iron, and all parts are securely connected to each other using the tongue and groove principle.

Important! When installing, the joints of the firebox must be treated heat-resistant sealant.

Regardless of the model, the declared area of the heated room is 10-18 m2. The space of the furnaces together with the cladding is practically the same for all modifications: less than 60 cm wide and about 90 cm deep.

Main differences The differences between the models are in the following design features.

Type of cladding heaters:

  • made of steel;
  • from talc chlorite;
  • from serpentine;
  • without cladding.

Door design options furnace tunnel:

  • painted steel;
  • cast iron door with panoramic glass;
  • cast iron portal with cast iron door.

The installation of a door with glass is justified by aesthetic considerations: to make the firebox look like a fireplace.

Additional options

Additional options, available for some models:

  • opportunity installation of a water tank — necessary if the bathhouse is actively used for a long time, for example, in a resort village;
  • possibility of connecting a stove to the heating system - necessary when using the sauna during the cold season.

When choosing a stove you need to estimate the volume of the steam roomThe larger the room, the more loaded stones are needed to produce steam. The next important parameter is price. The presented models are strictly divided into two categories: with or without stone cladding.

Peculiarity stone cladding consists of special pins that facilitate assembly and give the structure the necessary strength.

For "metallic" stoves, buyers will have to make the brick walls themselves. The exceptions are the Rusa-Family and Rusa models, in which the heating stones also serve as a protective casing.

At the customer's request, all models can be equipped with extended combustion channel, which allows you to control the flame from the changing room.

What is the difference between them? how to choose the best one model?

Sudarushka K

This modification is - the most accessible of those faced with natural stone. Due to its design features, the stove cannot be equipped with an additional tank for water, but at the same time it can be used in a closed heating system. The oven is quite compact: height - 95 cm. Weight of steam stones - up to 40 kg.

Sudarushka M

Affordable and compact modification with cladding made of stainless steel. The key feature is the ability to install additional 50-liter tank for water. Maximum weight of stones for steam generation is 40 kg. Height constructions - 1.16 mThis is a universal solution that will suit a bathhouse of any size.

Sudarushka MK

Another affordable and compact model with a design feature: the front wall of the oven is made in the form of a grid. The heating stones are placed along the entire height of the stove, and not just at the top.

The total mass of the stones is more than 100 kgThis allows the stove to accumulate more heat and distribute it more evenly throughout the steam room. Height constructions - less than 1 m.

Prima

Top modification with stone cladding. The stove is quite large: height makes up 1.13 m. Permissible mass of stones for steam generation — 90 kg. The upper part of the structure is equipped with cast iron doors. If they are closed, the stove operates in the standard heat transfer mode. When they are open, the room is heated faster.

Optionally, the model can be equipped with the so-called "steam gun" made of stainless steelThis detail represents a kind of funnel, which is installed inside the heater. Water poured into the "gun" falls on the hottest stones located at the lower and middle levels.

Rusa

The operating principle of the Rusa is as close as possible to the stoves that were used in traditional Russian white baths - hence the name.

Photo 7

Instead of cladding, it has a simple a metal frame resembling a basket. Thanks to this, it was possible to increase the number of stones for steam generation to an impressive 300 kg.

General height the design does not exceed 1 mSince the stove is capable of maintaining a high temperature in the firebox for a long time after heating, it can be recommended for purchase by small sanatoriums.

"Rusa" belongs to budget segment, so its purchase is especially justified if the bathhouse is used rarely, for example, at a dacha. An additional argument in favor of purchasing this model is ease of installation.

Rusa-Family

The company's new development is structurally similar to the "Rusa", however, there is an important difference - two compartments for stones. The first, as in the previous model, is metal frame, which acts as a facing. The second is a closed steel container with lid. Thus, the “internal” stones serve to generate steam, and the “external” ones serve to maintain a comfortable atmosphere in the steam room.

Family

Optionally included in the package "steam gun".

Family RK

Another top model with stone cladding. The stove is quite large — 1.13 m in height, and the weight of the stones loaded for steam generation is about 100 kg. "Family RK" heats up to the maximum temperature, which will be maintained for a long time. You can regulate the supply of heat and hot air to the room through metal door, located at the top ovens. Optionally equipped "steam cannon".

    I have a factory-made Sudarushka MK stove in my bathhouse, with a heater on both sides, which allows you to put more stones and make the temperature softer, and the heat is retained longer. The stove gets very hot, and in order not to accidentally burn yourself on it, I laid a brick screen around it, leaving channels in the masonry through which the heat from the stove spreads throughout the bathhouse, and the screen is blind on the wall side. The firebox has a cast-iron door and it is located in the dressing room, and the dressing room is also warmed by it. When installing such a stove, it is important to comply with fire safety regulations, special attention should be paid to the distance to the wall and the ceiling unit.

    I installed a Sudarushka Family stove in my 2.8 m by 2.7 m bathhouse. It is not lined with decorative stone, lined ones are too expensive. Therefore, after installing it, I installed a protective brick screen around it, used facing brick and laid it sideways, with this type of laying, channels are created from the voids of the brick through which the heated air from the stove spreads throughout the room. I use a remote tank for heating water and the water there is heated by a heat exchanger. I heat the stove from the dressing room, thanks to which the dressing room is also warmed.

    I installed a Rusa stove at my dacha. The stove itself is heated from the dressing room, which allows me to heat the dressing room as well. The stove itself is easy to install and is fenced with a net, which allows you to put more stones in the heater, and gives soft steam and its uniform distribution. I used stones for the heater that I collected on our river, only added a few purchased ones on top. I use a hanging tank for heating hot water and the water there heats up just when the heater heats up. Despite the fact that it is tall in installation, during installation it is necessary to comply with the requirements of fire safety regulations, especially the ceiling unit - there I used a 2 mm thick stainless steel sheet.

    Hello! I installed the "Sudarushka" stove with a cast-iron firebox 3.5 years ago, and I have not regretted it for a minute. The quality is excellent, it is compact, just right for a 8.5 square meter bathhouse, in the summer the bathhouse heats up in 30-40 minutes and the heat stays until the next day, and in winter it depends on the temperature, from about an hour to two. In general, I am happy with everything.
