Which stove should I choose for my bathhouse?

Many bath and sauna owners consider "Breneran" the optimal choice heating equipment. Firstly, the firewood in these devices burns almost completely. Secondly, they quickly and evenly heat the entire room.

However, these models there are some downsides too. For example, they can smoke due to small fuel residues. And when choosing, it is necessary to take into account that the Breneran stoves will have to insulate the pipe.

To give preference to one of the two described models, First of all, the dimensions of the area are taken into account, which is to be heated.

For small baths and saunas "AOT-8" will do, but for owners of larger premises It is worth paying attention to the model "AOT-12" It should also be remembered that the oven requires sufficient space for placement and removal of pipes — the manufacturer recommends raising it no less than three meters.

The "Breneran" sauna stoves are quite interesting and attractive. There are also innovations in the design, the ash pit installed in the door will certainly improve the draft and ensure the combustion of firewood even when the ash channel is full of ash, but nevertheless this should not be allowed, the ash should be removed in a timely manner. In all other respects, the operating principle of the stove is the same as for all others, in order for the stove to heat, you just need to light dry firewood. The main drawback of the stove is that it has very thin metal, 5 mm will burn out quickly, it may not even last 2 warranty years. So the stove is good, it's even a pity that the metal is too thin. The bathhouse will certainly warm up faster, but you can't change the stove every year, it's better to put thicker metal, and then it will last longer.

I am currently building a sauna and looking for an inexpensive stove, I liked the Breneran AOT-12 stove
Its appearance inspires reliability, and the presence of an additional blower in the door will ensure more complete combustion and burning of firewood even when the ash pan is full. And a capacious heater for 120 kg of stones will allow you to better heat the bathhouse and create comfortable conditions there. The tank is certainly small, only 24 liters, this will be a stretch even for three people, you will have to install another one or put an additional one.

All stoves are equipped with a 24-liter tank - still a bit small, the possibility of installing an additional tank on the pipe is also not an option, it will boil there like in a samovar. All the heaters seem to be closed, only open at the top, and all the heat from there will beat upwards, and will be unevenly distributed throughout the bathhouse. And the metal is too thin, with good operation it will not last the promised 2 years, it will burn out and the stove will start leaking gases into the bathhouse, which is fraught with poisoning. And with ATO-8, the wooden fence will start to smolder and there will be carbon monoxide in the bathhouse again. I would not install such a stove.

The Breneran sauna stoves in the picture certainly look quite impressive, especially the firebox door gives the product a look of reliability, and judging by the picture, there is an additional damper on this firebox door for regulating the draft, but I don’t understand what it is for, because the draft is created through the ash pit (ash channel). This damper can of course be used when the ash channel is full, but this should not be allowed. The AOT-8 model has a wood-fenced heater and also through direct contact with iron, and if the temperature in the sauna itself reaches 100 degrees, then what temperature will the iron be and how will the wood behave when in direct contact with this iron? Well, the thickness of the metal for firing wood is too small, such metal can only be used in a stove with a gas burner.

My bathhouse is divided into two parts, the steam room is separated from the washing area. And installing the tank next to the stove in this case is certainly not the best option. With the same stove, I brought the hot water tank through the heat exchanger into the changing room, it is much more convenient. The manufacturer says that it gives a 2.5 year warranty for the device. But the warranty is not appropriate here at all, everything depends on how often you heat the bathhouse and how much firewood you put in. And I do not understand how firewood longer than 25 cm will not fit into a firebox 84.5 cm long.
