Time-tested technology! UPS "Shtil" for gas boiler
The Shtil Group of Companies produces equipment for power supply systems. It was founded in 1991 in Tula, includes five Tula and two Moscow research and production enterprises.
The full production cycle is located in Russia. Products available in all regions of the country, as well as abroad.
Operating principle, design
For gas boilers, uninterruptible power supplies with double voltage conversion are used (on-line).
Alternating current from the grid enters the rectifier, is converted to direct current, and then passes through the inverter, becoming alternating again.
Connects to the rectifier and inverter battery (AB), ensuring the operation of the load in emergency mode.
The filling, enclosed in a massive white metal case, is built on the basis IGBT transistors under the control of a digital signal processor. LCD displays with LED indicators located on the front panel allow monitoring of the status and adjustment of the equipment on site. Remote monitoring methods depend on the specific model and the set of options.
Important! On-line UPS instantly switches the load to the battery. Backup and line-interactive devices transfer the load to the backup power supply with a delay, which not allowed for sensitive electronics of gas boilers.
According to the placement method, Shtil UPS are divided into wall-mounted (SW marking), floor (ST), rack (SR), universal (STR) UPS with built-in batteries (SL) and without (L). Maintenance-free sealed lead-acid batteries are used. External batteries can be connected both to devices with built-in batteries and without them.
Functional equipment, installation and operation features
The basic technical equipment of the Shtil UPS includes: input power factor corrector, automatic bypass, battery condition monitoring system.
Also modules for protection against emergency situations and automatic restart of the UPS when the network is restored.
The equipment performs self-diagnostics at each start-up, as well as during operation. All UPS models support cold load start without voltage from the network.
The rotation speed of the cooling fans is regulated according to the automation load.
The equipment is installed only when the voltage is disconnected. It is prohibited to connect the UPS to ungrounded, hard-to-reach sockets. When transporting the "uninterruptible power supply" in winter, it is necessary to withstand not less than 12 hours at room temperature before switching on. Do not operate in locations that do not allow adequate air circulation to cool the UPS.
Attention! The battery capacity decreases throughout its operation, reducing the battery life. timely replacement of batteries.
Single-phase UPS "Shtil" for gas boiler with battery
Supports input voltage in the range 90-295 V, output - 220 V with an error 2%. Equipped with a soft start function.
All UPS, except for wall-mounted and universal, support optional connection of an external bypass module and replacement of the LCD display with an LED one.
On-line 1-3 kVA used together with gas boilers, household appliances, computer equipment, cash register equipment, etc. Configuration 1:1.
Up to 6 minutes operation from the built-in battery 100% loading (up to 18 minutes at 50%). The line includes wall-mounted and universal models with built-in AB, as well as floor-standing and rack-mounted solutions with or without built-in AB.
Universal UPS are suitable for installation as a separate device or in a rack. They are equipped with a special rotary LCD display. Equipped with a "hot" function for the built-in battery blocks during equipment operation.
Floor and rack mounted On-line models 6-10 kVA are used together with computer and network equipment, powerful heating devices, communication and industrial equipment. Configuration 1:1. Supports hot swapping of external batteries, increasing power through parallel connection up to four UPS. Up to 7 minutes operation from the built-in battery 100% loading (up to 15 minutes at 50%).

Floor and rack mounted On-line models 10-20 kVA with phase configuration 3:1 suggest three phase input and single phase output. They are used when there is a high load on one phase to ensure a uniform load on the network. Nominal line voltage 380 V, phase — 220 V. Supports hot swapping of external batteries, increasing power by parallel connection of up to four UPS. Up to 3 minutes operation from the built-in battery 100% loading (up to 9 minutes at 50%).
Three-phase UPS "Shtil"
Supports input voltage in the range 228-478 V, output - 380 V with an error 1.5%. All UPS are equipped with automatic electronic and manual bypass, support the installation of an external bypass. The output power is increased by parallel connection. up to 6 blocks UPS or by adding additional modules. External batteries are placed on racks or in battery cabinets.
Important! Three-phase UPS power excessive for domestic use.
On-line 10—40 kVA guarantee up to 13 minutes operation from the built-in battery 100% loading (up to 28 minutes at 50%). The line is represented only by floor models with or without built-in AB.
On-line 60—300 kVA are assembled on the basis of power modules with hot swap support. Modules with a capacity of 30 and 50 kVA equipped with separate touch LCD screens.
Modular on-line "uninterruptible power supplies" power 10-300 kVA built on a similar principle, the capacity of the modules is 10, 20 and 30 kVAAll samples are equipped with centralized electronic bypasses.
How not to make a mistake when choosing an uninterruptible power supply for a gas boiler
It is recommended to use only double conversion UPS with gas boilers. Also pay attention to the required autonomous operation time, the power consumed by the load. When choosing, it is important to distinguish the total power indicated in volt-amperes (VA), from active - in watts (W).
Attention! The power of the selected UPS must exceed the power of the boiler by 20-30%For three-phase UPS, the maximum load per phase should be not less than a third of the nominal value.
The duration of autonomous operation depends on the load power and battery capacity. Built-in AB, as a rule, do not have a large capacity. UPS with such batteries are not designed for long-term autonomous operation, their task is to ensure the correct shutdown of equipment in the event of an accident.
For gas boilers it is recommended to install wall, floor or rack-mounted single-phase models with external batteries. External batteries are placed both as separate blocks and in special cabinets.

Pros and Cons of UPS
The products of the Shtil Group of Companies are distinguished high quality workmanship, a large selection of models, optional equipment.
UPS of on-line topology produce ideal sine wave of output current, The efficiency of the devices reaches 96%.
Warranty and post-warranty service program supports the consumer throughout the entire life cycle of products.
Price UPS "Shtil" on 20-30% higher similarly equipped Chinese models.
The design also leaves much to be desired: the same type of white boxes will suit, perhaps, only the interior of a boiler room or a boiler room. It is impossible to fit the Shtil UPS into the interior of a living space or kitchen.
