Power
The power consumption of gas boilers is low and is within the range 200-300 W. But there is one nuance: devices with an electric motor (pumps, valves) consume a short-term amount of power at the moment of start-up. 3-4 times more energy.
Therefore, the nominal power of such devices, indicated on the body or in the instructions, is multiplied by at least on 3 (perfect - by 5).
The boiler may already have a built-in circulation pump, or there may be external ones.
To prevent the stabilizer from going into overload, turning off the heating equipment, do not forget to increase the power of the pumps by the specified number of times. Then sum up all the powers, add 5-10% - get the required stabilizer power.
Important! Sometimes power is indicated in volt-amperes (VA, VA). To get the value in watts, multiply it by 0.8.
Efficiency
The efficiency factor shows what percentage of power goes to power the boiler and what is lost in the stabilizer. Modern models have a high Efficiency: 92-96%, and due to the low power of the boilers, the losses at any efficiency will be small - therefore, you should not pay special attention to this parameter, but rather consider the reliability and user reviews.
Stabilization accuracy
An important characteristic, indicated in percent. For gas boilers, an accuracy of at least 4-5%, less is better.
Highest accuracy for inverter and electromechanical models. In relay or thyristor types it depends on the number of windings in the transformer.
Don't forget about the response speed. It all depends on the network conditions.
For long-term power supply fluctuations without sudden surges, but large in amplitude, give preference electromechanical or relay stabilizer. Lots of ups and downs - electronic thyristor.
If welding is often carried out or many electric motors (machines, lawn mowers, etc.) are operating nearby, only an inverter is suitable, since noise interference and distortion of the sine wave shape cannot be smoothed out by any transformer-based stabilizer. Typical response speed values that do not cause interruptions in the boiler operation are: 30-40 ms.
