Review of the best voltage stabilizers Teplokom for gas boilers: reliable protection for electronics
Scientific and production company "Bastion" produces protective electrical equipment for heating systems, water supply, household appliances and computer equipment.
Founded in 1991 in Rostov-on-Don, the full production cycle is located in Russia. The products are sold under eight brands. Network of more than 70 service centers provides warranty and post-warranty service for equipment.
Teplocom voltage stabilizers for gas boilers
Stabilizers provide high-quality voltage for electronics of gas boilers. This is an affordable alternative to expensive uninterruptible power supplies.
The rationality of the choice is due to the fact that most of the breakdowns heating devices (25%) are connected precisely with surges in mains voltage, and not with a sharp shutdown of the boiler.
Bastion offers specially for gas boilers Teplocom single-phase step-up voltage stabilizers of relay type. All models of the brand support operation with input voltage from 145 to 260 V, providing output current 200-240 V.
Designed for continuous use. Do not change the sinusoid of the network current. The built-in microprocessor is responsible for the speed of the device - the switching time of the circuit does not exceed 20 ms. All models in the line are equipped with automatic systems:
- disconnection of the load when the output voltage deviates from limit values;
- re-enable loads during network restoration;
- filtration impulse surges in the network;
- lightning protection.
The devices are supplied in compact, stylish white plastic cases with wall mounting and LED status indication.
Modifications with the prefix -I (ST-222/500-I, ST-555-I, ST-888-I) are equipped with displays to show the input current.
Easy to install, maintain, and operate. Declared service life 10 years, The manufacturer provides five years guarantee and insurance for the amount up to 3 million rubles.
Teplocom ST-222/500 with permissible power increase up to 220V
Designed for use with small household appliances and low-power heating devices. The load power is supported 200 VA with an acceptable increase to 220-222 VA, but not longer 15 minutes throughout one hour. Withstands up to 500 VA for a while no more than 3 min. (relevant for starting voltage surges).
Attention! The passport may indicate the electrical and thermal power of the device. First measured in volt-amperes (VA) or watts (W), A second - V kilowatts (kW). The stabilizer is selected only based on electrical power.
The housing with an integrated socket is suspended from the wall on DIN rail (supplied in the kit), the stabilizer is designed for desktop placement. Outdoor use is prohibited: the ambient temperature is required from +5 to +40 °C and relative humidity no more than 80%.
ST 555, ST 555-I
Used together with heaters of apartments, private houses, offices, small industrial premises. Standard power 400 VA with an acceptable short-term increase up to 555 VA. Do not allow overloads.
Photo 1. Voltage stabilizer model ST-555, rated load power 400 VA, manufacturer - Teplocom.
Equipped with a phasing check function and a potential indicator over 20 V between the "ground" and the neutral phase, signaling the failure of the input fuse. Without load, they consume from the network no more than 3 VA.
The filling is enclosed in a compact case with a three-point mount, does not contain precious metals and stones. It is prohibited to use stabilizers of this series outdoors: the models operate at an air temperature of from -10 to +40 °C and relative humidity up to 80%.
ST-888, ST-888-I
Built on the basis of Teplocom ST-555, but differ in increased power: working 600 VA and maximum up to 888 VA.
Provide stabilized power supply to heating systems with several circulation pumps.
Functional equipment is similar to the series ST-555. The mounting system includes a removable bracket. Operating air temperature from +5 to +40 °C at humidity up to 80%.
ST-1300
The main purpose is to supply stabilized voltage to water pumps, pumps and irrigation systems located outdoors. The only stabilizer in the line that allows for outdoor use: a sealed dust- and moisture-proof case assembled according to IP-56 protection standard.
The use of Teplocom ST-1300 significantly saves money on laying additional power supply lines.
Load power 800 VA with an acceptable increase up to 1300 VA (the duration of the increase is the same as in the younger models). It consumes from the network no more than 840 W.
Works in all weather conditions, air temperature is acceptable from -40 to +50 °C. It is important to ensure that there are no aggressive agent vapors near the operating device.
Selecting a stabilizer
The main parameters when selecting a stabilizer are: output current quality, power, response speed, and also input and output voltage ranges. The closer output signal sine wave to ideal, the higher the quality of the stabilizer signal. Teplocom devices do not change the direction of the network current, the quality of the current they provide is sufficient for most household heater models.
The electrical power of the stabilizer is selected with a reserve of 30% of the consumer's power. If an external circulation pump is used together with the boiler, the required power of the electrical appliance is calculated using the formula:
Vtot = 1.3 x (V1 + V2∙3), Where:
- V1 — boiler power, VA.
- V2 — power of the circulation pump, VA.
- 3 — a coefficient that takes into account the voltage surge when starting the pump.
- 1.3 — coefficient providing power reserve 30%.
The response speed of the stabilizer determines the speed with which the device corrects voltage surges.
The product passport indicates response time (in milliseconds) or stabilization speed (in volts per second, V/s). You should select devices with the shortest response time and the highest stabilization speed.
The wider the operating range of the input voltage, the more universal the stabilizer is: devices with a limited input range are not suitable for networks with low quality of electricity supply. The output voltage range, on the contrary, should be chosen as small as possible. Large deviations in output current from 220 V are fraught with disruptions in the operation of the boiler and its breakdowns.
Attention! Heating devices without complex automation are capable of withstanding deviations up to 10%, advanced boiler models do not allow for errors over 5%.
