The need to install an additional circulation pump
The idea of installing a second device arises when the coolant is heated unevenly. This is due to insufficient boiler capacity.
To detect the problem, measure the temperature of the water in the boiler and pipes. If the difference is 20°C or more, the system should be cleared of air locks.
If the fault continues to occur, an additional circulation pump is installed. The latter is also necessary if a second heating circuit is installed, especially in situations where the length of the piping is 80 meters or more.

Such devices are used in heating if water heating occurs using long-burning boilers. The devices in question support several heater operating modes, from ignition to extinguishing of the fuel. It is desirable to maintain the required level in each of them, which is what the hydraulic arrow does.

- independent air bleed from heating;
- catching part of the sludge to protect pipes;
- filtration dirt getting into the harness.

The piping with the circulation pump performs many tasks. They must be resolved regardless of the flow rate of the working water and possible pressure surges in pipes. It is difficult to achieve efficiency, since the liquid comes inside from a common source.
Thus, the coolant leaving the boiler unbalances the system.
This is why a hydraulic separator is placed: its main purpose is to create denouement, which will solve the problem described above.

- support for calculated consumption in the primary harness, regardless of the secondary ones;
- permanent ensuring the operation of circulation pumps;
- relief exploitation branched systems;
- pipe cleaning from the air;

- convenience installations when using modules.
Where to put the second device in the house
In autonomous heating, it is recommended to install a device with a wet rotor, which is self-lubricated with working fluid. Therefore, consider the following points:
- the shaft is located horizontally, parallel to the floor;
- the flow of water is directed in the same direction as the arrow, installed on the device;
- the box is placed on any side except lower, which protects the terminal from water ingress.
The device is mounted on the return line, where the coolant temperature is minimal.
This increases the service life, although some experts disagree with this phrase. The latter is related to the operating rules: the device must withstand the heating of the working fluid up to 100-110 °C.
Important! Placement is possible not only on the return pipe, but also on the direct pipe. The main thing is to install between the boiler and radiators, since the opposite is prohibited. This also makes the maintenance of the device easier.
How to sequentially integrate an auxiliary device into a heating system
To install a circulation pump, use one-pipe or two-pipe system heating. Before you begin, be sure to read the instructions included with the device. During preparation, remove water from the piping, then clean the pipes from dirt, corrosion and scale. The device is installed according to the plan, filled with coolant and put into operation.
It is preferable to install the pump on the return line, using bypass. The latter helps to block the flow of liquid if there is a need to replace parts or troubleshoot.
Consider the pipe diameter branch: it should be smaller than the main line.
On both sides of the bypass, valves are placed to protect against accidents. If necessary, they are closed. Another one is installed on the central part of the piping. It helps direct the working fluid to the circulation pump. It is advisable to install a filter before the entrance., purifying water from impurities and solid salts.
Two pumps in a heated floor system
Reference! If this technology is used, the pump must be mounted horizontally, necessarily after the feed mixer. Some systems use several devices, one for each floor.
When filling the piping with a coolant, it is not always possible to remove all the air. The latter blocks the path of the liquid, and the drain cannot be carried out through any collector. The solution to the problem is a valve built into the circulation pump. To release gases, simply turn it counterclockwise, supply water, then screw the disk and turn on the device. If necessary, repeat the procedure.
Wall hung boiler system
In the design of the wall-mounted device there is a built-in pump.
Its power is calculated specifically for joint operation, so there is no need to use an additional one.
