No one will be left indifferent! Rating of the best sauna wood-burning stoves

Photo 1

The sauna stove industry is developing rapidly these days, and the diversity of models is emphasized only by their differences.

This difference is due to the conditions of use, the range of pricing policies, and the areas of application.

To get the closest picture of how things are going in the stove market today The most famous of them should be divided into several price segments: premium class, average, and economy. The article provides all the characteristics and necessary information about the models to classify them by not only price but also quality.

Rating of premium wood-burning sauna stoves

Premium ovens come with a lot of extra features and are usually made from more expensive materials, which improves their quality.

"Isistim Gelendzhik"

Photo 2

The top of the rating is occupied by "Gelendzhik" - a wood-burning sauna stove from the company "EasySteam".

PowerThis top-of-the-line oven features 50 kW maximum thermal power, and runs on wood (requiring 10-20 logs per hour) or on natural gas. Inside it is lined with stones with a total mass of 90 kg.

Material. The oven is done. made of dense stainless steel.

Heat capacityThe Gelendzhik stove is designed in such a way as to maintain a constant steam temperature when the Russian bath mode is set.

Additional functionsThe oven is equipped with a steam generator, the doors have heat-resistant glass. The service life of the device is very good even by the high standards of premium class stoves. If you pay extra for finishing the firebox with fireclay bricks, the service life will be extended for an even longer time.

"Izistim Sochi M2"

This design is one of the best stove configurations for those who respect the Russian bath.

Material. Stainless 4 - 6 mm steel.

Power. With a thermal power of 40 kW steam room in 12 - 22 m³ warms up perfectly.

Heat capacity. Brick or other stone facing of the stove will help to make the bathhouse truly Russian, and the collected heat will be enough to dry the room after use.

Additional functions. In addition, the stove has a heat exchanger, thanks to which the water in the remote tank will be heated quickly and efficiently. The protective screen is laid out with bricks according to a special scheme provided by the company or a lining of talc chlorite and coil is made. The stones are laid with a mass of 95 kg, a steam generator is available, and all this allows you to get excellent light superheated steam.

"Izistim Yalta 15"

The next representative of the premium class is the Yalta stove, from the same company EasySteam. Despite the fact that this model of stove is declared by the manufacturer as intended for a sauna, its design is significantly transformed, to expand the capabilities of the steam room.

Material. The oven is made of stainless steel with 17% chromium content.

Power. Volume of the steam room - 10-20 cubes, power — 25 kW.

Heat capacity. The oven consumes from five to twelve kg of firewood/hour. The result will not disappoint: heating for more than one hundred minutes in winter and up to eighty minutes in summerThere are two types of heaters: open, loaded in 200 kg, and closed in 35 kg.

Additional functionsThere is also a grate made of cast heat-resistant cast iron, the walls of the furnace are made of thick stainless steel.

MaterialCast iron stove with added chrome for a premium class Russian bath.

Heat capacityThe walls of the stove have good thermal conductivity and thanks to them, heat passes freely and quickly into the room.

This means that this model of stove heats up up to 750 degrees, however, heat transfer reduces the overall temperature by up to up to three hundred degrees in the chimney.

Thus, thanks to the design, heat is released into the bathhouse itself.

Power - 18 kW.

Additional functions. The stove is subject to bricklaying. The device has excellent characteristics, in particular, a good internal heater and heating system. Average service life of the device 20 - 30 years old. The stove should not be heated more than five hours a day.

The best mid-range wood-burning sauna stoves

Middle-class sauna stoves are also very high-quality devices. They are the most popular.

«Harvia Legend 240»

Material"Harvia Legend" is a wood-burning sauna stove made of structural steel and designed for saunas.

Heat capacity. The peculiarity of this model of the stove is its high inertia after its use is stopped and good thermal conductivity, that is, even when the fire goes out, the heat will remain in the room. At the same time, the stone coating protects its surroundings from overheating.

Power. The power of this oven model is 21 kW, with a steam room volume of 10 - 24 m³.

Additional functions. The grate of the furnace has a special design, thanks to which air enters the upper part of the firebox. In this case, the firewood burns better, since the fire is distributed evenly throughout the entire bookmark. This design also increases the lifespan of the oven.

Photo 5

Photo 2. Sauna stove "Harvia Legend 240". It has a remote firebox, a large heater, enclosed with a net.

The main disadvantage The stones themselves can be considered the heater's main advantage. This is due to the fact that they do not have a high enough temperature on the surface to release good steam.

Termofor Geyser 2014»

The Geyser model stove is in the same price segment as the previous version, but has a more modernized Russian stove function.

MaterialThe steel from which the furnace is made contains 13% chromium and is generally spread out in a thinner layer.

Heat capacity. The design is universal and includes both open and closed heaters. The internal heater will allow you to get excellent steam with a temperature in the steam room up to 70 °C.

Important! But a problem arises - large convection, the emergence of air currents, as a result of which the steam room overheats and dries out.

Power. Furnace power — 18 kW, steam room — from 8 to 18 cubic meters.

Additional functions. Here it is necessary to separately note the volume of the steam room specified by the manufacturer, or rather, the spread between the figures. Such a difference exists for a reason, eight cubes are used under conditions of use in winter and when heating additional rooms, 18 - this is operation in the summer, with heating of the steam room together with the washing room.

"Vesuvius Scythian"

Photo 6

MaterialThe main material from which the stove was made is structural steel, due to which the price of the model is in moderate balance.

At the same time, Vesuvius engineers took into account that this type of steel quickly burns out once the temperature reaches at 400 degrees, and that's why they made the walls thick up to 12 millimeters at the bottom of the stove.

Heat capacityThe bottom of the heater can be dented by the weight of the stones, and not just due to temperature conditions.

Over time, the bottom, or rather the steel it is made of, begins to deteriorate and be pressed through. However, twelve mm, if the model is used correctly, should be enough for 10 - 12 years old exploitation.

With one caveat: the metal begins to quickly and irreversibly deteriorate already at a temperature 550 °C. You can't heat the oven "to red hot", otherwise you won't be able to wrap up the process. In addition, serious overheating can destroy many welds. The metal in such structures is not solid, so destructive impact can cause them to diverge.

Power. Technical power of the furnace model is 15 kW; the volume of the steam room is from 12 to 24 m³. The model specializes primarily in working in sauna mode.

Additional functions"Skif" is a modernized middle-class stove with a built-in heater that heats up up to four hundred degrees, which is quite enough to produce pleasant finely dispersed steam. To contain harsh convection, engineers have introduced a grate into the device that holds the stones around the body of the stove. Due to the fact that the heat accumulates in one place, users of the steam room are freed from thermal radiation.

"Feringer Classic"

Material. One of the best Russian companies in this field presents its model "Classic" made of steel with chromium content in 17%.

Photo 7

Power. The furnace power is 25 kW, which easily covers the steam room 12 m³ and a small room in 12 m². However, this applies to summer use.

Heat capacityIn winter, there will not be enough heat for the room and additional heating equipment will have to be installed there.

Additional functions. The special features include a closed heater, a steam generator and several bath modes, from a classic light Russian bath to a hot, exhausting sauna.

The classic is extremely demanding in terms of the quality of firewood, as its design assumes burning from top to bottom (the maximum length of the logs in this case 660 millimeters), and there is no grate, which makes the device cheaper.

Economy devices

Economy class stoves are the cheapest, but among them there are quite a few many worthy devices, capable of heating baths of various sizes. Such stoves are usually used in baths that are heated mainly in the summer.

"Ermak 12»

A compact wood-burning stove that attracts interest because it is offered for sale in several versions at once. Like a transformer, it is transformed by adding various additional accessories and devices.

Material. Ermak 12 uses stainless steel with 17% chromium content.

Power. Furnace power — 12 kW, and it perfectly heats up the steam room in 6 - 14 m³.

Photo 8

Photo 3. The Ermak 12 sauna stove, front and back view. The device has an open heater.

Heat capacity. The maximum amount of stones laid, as provided by the manufacturer, is 40 kg. Of course, it will take a lot of time and effort to heat up such a mass, but the user will not be disappointed, having also received high inertia - even after the stones have died down, the heat will not go anywhere.

Additional functions. The length of the firebox has been specially increased to provide a larger volume of wood and longer burning. As additional accessories, you can purchase such devices as a heat exchanger and a water tank.

"Varvara Mini»

Bathhouses for summer cottages and private homes are usually designed in such a way that the owner can quickly heat up and wash after a working day, and, therefore, have small dimensions. Because of this, steam rooms are traditionally very small.

Material. The economy class model made of "black" structural steel "Varvara Mini" was created precisely according to this principle. Despite its clearly oversized dimensions in 655 (width) x 780 (height) x 740 (depth) mm it has power.

Photo 9

Power V eight kW. At the same time, the volume of the steam room, declared by the creators in 12 m³, in fact, is clearly overstated. In reality, the room should be about 8 m³ - this is approximately the room 2 x 2 m, with ceiling height 1.8 - 2 meters.

Heat capacity. At the same time, the developer claims that the model uses dual convection, which heats the air faster, but does not take into account that in fact the entire room is heated: the walls, ceiling and even the floor, and not just the volume. So the stove is only suitable for use in warm weather; in winter it is absolutely useless.

Additional functions. The difference between the Varvara stoves and the others is the presence of an opening in the rear part of the unit for convenient cleaning of the device from soot and other combustion products.

There are also models equipped with a stainless steel water tank with a thickness not less than 1.5 mm.

"Thermofor Osa»

Material. This is a budget and fairly simple economy class stove made of stainless steel. This model is best suited for a compact bathhouse with a not very spacious steam room, up to 9 m³.

Power. Comprises 9 kW, which in practice is not enough for high-quality and fast heating of the room. If you want to ensure some result and reach the mode, you will need at least two hours when kindling in cold winter weather.

Photo 10

Photo 4. The Termofor Osa sauna stove. The device is quite small, suitable for heating small rooms.

Heat capacity. It should be understood that its capacity will not be enough to heat adjacent rooms. The minimum size of the steam room specified by the manufacturer is 4 m³, maximum — 9 m³The mass of stones when laid is equal to 25 kg, which means it is possible to use the stove in a steam room with a volume of 5 cubic meters.

Important! However best result is provided for a room volume of 4 m³. The manufacturer has provided less than correct data, describing the range of operation in the steam room as from 4 to 9 m³.

In general, the conclusion is that although this model works great in the summer, it will require a lot of effort to light it in the winter.

The manufacturer's maximum fuel load is 21 y. If we assume that 1 m³ of firewood = 300 kg, then it will be 3 kg of firewood. During combustion 1 kilogram raw logs emit about one kilowatt/hour of heat. To achieve these figures, the stove must be fired with dry firewood, which gives approximately 2 - 2.5 kW per hour.

Additional functionsThe usual length of logs is approximately 35 cm, but when firing up this model, the standard is used 320 mm, therefore, when using the Termofor Osa, you will have to order these special firewood.

"Breneran AOT 12"

Photo 11

Material. "Brengan Aot 12" is an ultra-budget wood-burning stove-heater made of black structural steel, designed for use in large steam rooms with a volume of up to 28 cubic meters.

Heat capacityThe stove specializes in creating the temperature conditions of a hot Finnish dry-steam sauna, as well as a wet Russian bath.

Power up to 12 kW.

Additional functionsThe Brenegan model has a built-in steel casing. 0.5 mm thick, inner casing made of heat-resistant steel 0.8 millimeters thickness, 5 mm firebox.

There is a section for placing stones, as well as a built-in stainless steel tank.

The fuel for the Brenegan is logs, wood waste and firewoodIt is not recommended to use coal, as it may cause breakdowns in the stove.

"Kastor Saga 20"

Material"Kastor Saga 20" is a rather simple stainless steel heater from Finland, the distinctive feature of which is its unusual design.

Heat capacity. The firebox is designed to heat the steam room, and it is not enough for adjacent rooms. Therefore, this model is not particularly useful in winter.

Power. The power of this unit is 18 kW.

Additional functionsThe firebox door has a built-in non-stick glass, which allows anyone to independently observe the combustion and kindling process.

Watch the video, which tells how to choose the right stove for a bathhouse, and provides the main characteristics of the devices.

Conclusion

If you have the means and are a connoisseur of a real Russian bathhouse, then you shouldn’t skimp - premium class stoves lined with brick or talc chlorite.

Photo 12

They have very high quality standards and the buyer will most likely never regret his purchase.

If you need to relax in the bathhouse for five to seven hours and no more, then it is better to choose the middle class. In baths with such stoves you can conduct experiments and find the optimal temperature regime.

Finally, if the bathhouse in a private house or at the dacha works mainly in the summer, then in this case economy class stoves will be suitable.

We installed the Gefest PB-03 M stove in our bathhouse. I would like to warn those who are going to buy it right away. The stove is prefabricated, not cast. Therefore, it is very important to thoroughly coat all the joints with fire-resistant sealant. Otherwise, you risk getting smoke in the room.
Overall, the stove is very good, looks beautiful and works great!
  2. Vladimir
I installed a Gefest PB-03 M cast iron stove in the bathhouse, after installation I covered it with a protective brick screen, after laying stones I got a pretty impressive heater. The stove itself heats up my bathhouse well, which is 2.7 m by 2.6 m inside. And its internal heater creates comfortable conditions in the bathhouse, and the stove itself also heats up to 700 degrees and gives off heat well to the surrounding space. Hot water quickly heats up from the heat exchanger. Since this stove is cast iron, I do not heat it up to red, otherwise it may crack when water gets on it.
